Features
Organise clipboard history with Spaces, pins and saved clips
Built-in Spaces
Pastily detects what you copied and files it for you. The Spaces strip lets you filter your history by:
- All: everything, newest first
- Text, Links, Code, Email and Numbers
- Images and Colors (see Images and colour codes)
- Pinned and Saved: the clips you chose to keep
Drag the tabs to put the Spaces you use most first.
Pin and save clips
Open a clip card and use the Pinned or Saved button.
- Pinned clips stay at the top of your history, above newer copies, so your most-used snippets are always first.
- Saved clips appear in the Saved Space, a shelf for things you want to find again later.
Good candidates: your address, a canned reply, a signature, a long command, a hex colour from your brand, an invoice note.
Rename a clip
Double-click a clip's title, or use Rename, and give it a name you will recognise, such as "Refund reply" instead of the first line of the text. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel. You can also add a sticker to a card to spot it faster.
Create your own Spaces
- Open Settings → Spaces, or click Add on the Spaces strip.
- Create a Space and give it a name, for example "Code templates" or "Support replies".
- Pick a colour for it.
In Settings → Spaces you can also rename Spaces, change their colours and hide built-in Spaces you never use. Changes show up on the dashboard strip straight away.
Search
Start typing in the search field to filter your history instantly. Search works across text, links, code and colours, so you rarely need to scroll.
Delete clips and clear history
Use Delete on a card to remove one clip. Clear history removes your clipboard history after you confirm; you can also choose Control → Clear Clipboard History from the menu bar or tray icon.
Common questions
What is the difference between Pinned and Saved?
Pinned clips stay at the top of your clipboard history. Saved clips are collected in the Saved Space so you can find them again later.
Can I create my own categories for clips?
Yes. Add a custom Space from the Spaces strip or in Settings → Spaces, then give it a name and a colour. You can also rename, recolour or hide the built-in Spaces.

How to copy and paste multiple items in order
Turn on Universal Paste in Pastily, copy each item you need, then press Cmd+Shift+V on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+V on Windows and Linux. Each press pastes the next item in the order you copied it, so you can fill a form or a spreadsheet without switching windows again and again.
Clipboard history for images and colour codes
Pastily keeps copied images in your clipboard history with a preview, and saves any of them to your Downloads folder with one click. When you copy a colour code it shows a swatch of the colour and lets you copy it again as HEX or RGB.
Privacy, offline storage and auto-expiring clips
Pastily stores your clipboard history in a local database on your own computer. There is no account and no cloud sync, so your clips are never uploaded. For sensitive clips such as passwords, set an auto-expire timer of up to 24 hours and the clip deletes itself.
