How to install Pastily on Linux
Which download do I need?
| Your system | File |
|---|---|
| Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Pop!_OS | pastily-linux.deb |
| Fedora, RHEL, openSUSE | pastily-linux.rpm |
| Anything else, or no install wanted | pastily-linux.AppImage |
All three are on pastily.app/#pricing.
Ubuntu, Debian and Linux Mint (.deb)
Open a terminal in the folder where you saved the file and run:
sudo apt install ./pastily-linux.deb
Fedora, RHEL and openSUSE (.rpm)
sudo dnf install ./pastily-linux.rpm
On openSUSE, use sudo zypper install ./pastily-linux.rpm instead.
AppImage (most distributions)
An AppImage needs no installation. Make it executable once, then run it:
chmod +x pastily-linux.AppImage
./pastily-linux.AppImage
After installing
- Open Pastily from your application menu.
- Open Settings → General → License, paste your licence key and activate it.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+B to open your clipboard history.
If that shortcut is already used by your desktop environment, record a different one in Settings → Shortcuts.
If something does not work on your distribution, email ashfaque@pastily.app with your distribution and desktop environment.
