1. Install Pastily

Pastily runs on macOS, Windows 10/11 and Linux. Follow the guide for your system:

2. Activate your licence

Pastily is a one-time purchase. After you buy a licence, open Settings → General → License, paste your key and activate it. The status changes to Pro Active. See Activate or move your licence for details.

3. Open your clipboard history

Press Cmd+Shift+B on Mac, or Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows and Linux. The Pastily popup opens over whatever app you are in.

  1. Use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to choose a clip, or start typing to search.
  2. Press Enter to copy the clip back to your clipboard. The popup closes.
  3. Paste as usual with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.

Press Esc to close the popup without copying anything.

4. Learn the dashboard

The dashboard is your clipboard home. It has four main areas:

  • Search: type to filter your history instantly across text, links, code, colours and more.
  • Spaces: filter by type, such as Text, Links, Code, Images and Colors. Drag the tabs to reorder them, or add your own.
  • Clipboard history: every copy lands here as a card. Open a card to pin it, save it, rename it, add a sticker or set an auto-expire timer.
  • Clear history: wipes your clipboard history when you want a clean slate.

Pastily shows a short guided tour the first time you open it. You can replay it any time from Settings → General → Onboarding.

5. Open Settings

Click the Pastily icon in the menu bar or system tray, choose Control, then Settings. You can also press Cmd+, on Mac or Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux. Settings has three tabs: General, Spaces and Shortcuts.
