How to install Pastily on Windows 10 and 11
Install steps
- Go to pastily.app/#pricing and download the Windows build (
pastily-windows.zip). - Right-click the zip file and choose Extract All.
- Run the installer. The zip contains both an
.exeinstaller and an.msipackage; use whichever you prefer. - Open Pastily from the Start menu.
- Open Settings → General → License, paste your licence key and activate it.
Open your clipboard history
Press Ctrl+Shift+B. Choose a clip with the arrow keys and press Enter to copy it, then paste with Ctrl+V. You can change the shortcut in Settings → Shortcuts.
Pastily also lives in the system tray. Click its icon and choose Control to open the dashboard, open Settings, clear your history or quit the app.
Pastily vs Windows clipboard history (Win+V)
Windows has a built-in clipboard history: press Win+V, and turn it on under Settings → System → Clipboard if nothing appears. It is fine for occasional use, but it is limited:
| Windows Win+V | Pastily | |
|---|---|---|
| History size | 25 items | Up to 2,000 clips |
| After a restart | Cleared, unless pinned | Kept |
| Search | No | Yes, instant |
| Organise clips | Pin only | Spaces, pins, names and stickers |
| Paste several items in order | No | Yes, Universal Paste Queue |
You can keep using both: they use different shortcuts. For the full breakdown, see Pastily vs Windows Clipboard History.
Common questions
Does Pastily work on Windows 10?
Yes. Pastily supports both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Does Pastily replace Win+V?
No. Pastily opens with Ctrl+Shift+B by default, so the built-in Win+V clipboard history keeps working next to it.
How do I see clipboard history on Windows 11?
Press Windows key + V for the built-in history (25 items, cleared on restart unless pinned), or press Ctrl+Shift+B to open Pastily, which keeps up to 2,000 clips across restarts.
