Pastily is an offline-first desktop application developed and operated by an independent developer based in India. We believe your clipboard data belongs to you, which is why Pastily is designed to collect as little personal information as possible.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your privacy.
🔒 Local Privacy Commitment
Because Pastily is offline-first, your clipboard data remains stored exclusively on your device. We do not upload your copy records, and have zero server logging or diagnostics telemetry access.
01/ Information Stored on Your Device
Pastily stores application data only on your device, including:
- Clipboard history
- Pinned items
- Collections and categories
- Application preferences and settings
- Local search indexes
- License activation information required for the application
This information is never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it with us (for example, when contacting support).
02/ Information We Do Not Collect
Pastily does not collect, upload, monitor, or sell:
- Clipboard contents
- Clipboard history
- Copied files or images
- Search queries
- Database contents
- Usage analytics
- Advertising identifiers
- Device telemetry
- Keystrokes
- Background activity logs
- Crash reports (unless you voluntarily provide them)
Pastily does not contain advertising or third-party tracking software.
03/ Local Storage & Security
Your application data is stored locally on your computer using a SQLite database.
Pastily does not operate cloud storage for your clipboard history or application database. Because your data remains on your own device, we cannot access, recover, or restore it if it is deleted or lost.
The security of your local data depends on your device and operating system. We recommend enabling your operating system's security features, such as disk encryption and password protection.
04/ License Purchases
If you purchase Pastily Pro, payments are securely processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record.
During checkout, Polar may collect information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Country
- Billing information
- Payment details
Pastily does not receive or store your complete payment information.
We receive only the limited information necessary to manage your license, such as:
- Billing email address
- License key
- Transaction or order reference
- Purchase status
Your payment information is handled in accordance with Polar's Privacy Policy.
05/ Support Communications
If you contact us for support, feature requests, or other inquiries, we may receive:
- Your email address
- The contents of your message
- Any screenshots, logs, or attachments you voluntarily provide
We use this information solely to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, improve the software, and provide customer support.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or marketing companies.
06/ Third-Party Services
Pastily uses trusted third-party providers only where necessary to operate the Services.
These may include:
- Polar – payment processing and license management
These providers process personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Most of your application data remains on your own device and is retained until you delete it or uninstall the application.
Support emails, purchase records, and license-related information are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide customer support
- Manage software licenses
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Prevent fraud
08/ Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion of that information.
Because the vast majority of your data is stored locally on your own device, you remain in direct control of that information.

Pastily is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
